Meet Umer Ahmad Ganie.

Well, that’s exactly what 19-year old Umer Ahmad Ganie did (not the self-diagnosing part) – through his own dedication and commitment to the goal, the Zagigam native successfully forged his way towards academic success and a brighter future for himself and his family.
Umer passed the NEET with an impressive score of 601 out of 720, enough for him to apply to medical school and chase his dream of becoming a doctor.

While Umer studied for the NEET, he also had to continue his own livelihood as a daily wage painter to sustain his family’s financial state. His NEET studies were also separate from his existing time spent in school as a student. Umer’s strong desire to fulfil his medical aspirations spurred him on throughout this rigorous schedule, as he burned the midnight oil and self-studied every night from 3am to 8am before heading to school and work for the day.

What inspired Umer towards this goal was the story of a young boy from his district who had passed the NEET and become a doctor. If that boy could do it, so could Umer. However, as his family’s financial struggles hindered him from attending formal NEET coaching classes, Umer had to rely on online resources to guide his journey of self-education.
