Connecting young people, communities and cultures through education, shared experiences and meaningful human connection.

Every journey begins with a single thread.

Tater Threads is The Patatas’ learning and social-impact platform, bringing together programmes, partnerships and initiatives that connect education with meaningful experiences.

Our work began with a belief that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, regardless of where they are born. Working alongside rural and remote communities showed us that growth also comes through new experiences, shared stories, friendships and exposure to a world beyond one’s own.

Like threads woven together, these opportunities create something stronger.

Tater Threads exists to weave those connections together.

Education opens doors. Exposure and experience help young people imagine what lies beyond them.

Through Tater Threads, young people from different backgrounds meet as peers and learn with, from and alongside one another. Shared activities, conversations, challenges and reflection create space for them to build confidence, communicate across differences and better understand other cultures and communities.

Our purpose is not simply to create memorable activities.

It is to create meaningful experiences that help young people grow and strengthen the communities around them.
